Well I gave up on the explorer sport seats. I cut the bench sewed together fabic and all is right in the world. It doesn't look the best but it should be covered by the console that will be here...

So I bought 2002 Exp Sport Cloth/Non Power Buckets. I finally was able to get the pretensioner mounted and secured. Went to bolt the seats in and the mounting points are too narrow by about 1/4". ...

The seatbelt pretensioner use a small explosive charge to withdraw the slack from the seatbelt in the event of a crash. I don't think that there is any risk, especially if the seat is disconnected...

Well, the spring assembly is for the pretensioner on the seat belt assembly. Now does anybody know if these 2 seats are compatible for pretensioner swap? I am a little nervous about messing with...

So today I picked up two almost new seats from a 2002 Explorer Sport. Bolts fit, but the explorer has a long seat belt rail to the floor of the explorer, and the ranger seatbelt...
