My 94 is kind of the same way. Changed the tstat, water pump, and sensor. it moves off cold and the heater blasts satans breath, but it never really comes up to normal temp, and i live in Hawaii, so...

Take all that crap off, and get a superlift. You went the cheap, backyard route for a quick lift and a cool look. It would appear that didnt work out in your favor.
