What is 4.0 achilles heel?

I'm fully familiar with the 3.0 engine, with it's achilles heel being the cam shaft syncronizer. What is the 4.0L achilles heel?

Also, anything to keep note of when looking to buy a 4.0?

Re: Nissan Titan

Yeah I already knew about this. I'm actually waiting until the Cummins Atlas engine is utilized in small trucks. But until then (probably 5+ years) I need a new to me truck.

I was looking at...

Nissan Titan

So I'm thinking about getting a new to me Nissan Titan. Anyone have experience with these trucks? Anything I should know about the 5.6l engine they have? Hell, know of anything bad about them?

Re: 3.0 flex fuel needing power

Replacing that part for fix what you perceive to be low power, it is a preventative to blowing up the motor.

Re: Most ridiculous Ranger?

Well, that top spoiler at high speeds can create lift so you need that rear spoiler to plant it down

Thanks guys, keep them coming. So far the F150Nation has the best look, IMO.

Anyone know which gets the most posts per day?

Re: pump up the 3.0 hamster?

I bet his math is just wrong. Bought a 3.0 after a 4.0 and didn't think it'd be slower. It's already 25% smaller!

I say throw a multimeter on that coil pack anyway. It takes no more than 2 minutes to check it. Did you buy a motorcraft coil pack when you replaced it? I first changed mine with some pepboy...
