You can do sealed or ported in a single cab, but it will be with shallow mount subs. Some people seem to be completely against them, i dont know why, especially in situations like a single cab truck....

I have the same problem, though not quite as bad, have you upgraded your battery yet? I just got a 200A alternator off Amazon for $118. Hasent arrived yet, but I'll let you know after I have it...
