Was 240,000 kms. Timing chain dickered everything up, now it has 120,000 kms :D

Well its official. There is an 2008 4.0sohc in my 2002 ranger! Time for a tranny flush and a new pinion rack seal and ill have her back. So pumped. Excited to rip apart the old motor too.

Do a compression test. My timing chain failed. Im not even going to bother checking if i bent a valve, because i probably did, putting an 08 motor with half the kms in.

That's what I've been reading. I wanna buy a boat next spring too. I'm probably gonna rest drive both and see what I think. There's so many conflicting opinions on ford truck forums.

Yeah. I think it depends on what it is though. Rear end collision or something, hail, I'd be fine with. Truck looks to have zero rust. And it's priced very well.
