Re: What did you do to your ranger today thread IV

Bought a whole new front brake system for him. It'll increase the value for me to sell him. Kind of hard because all the vehicles I want have poor gas mileage compared to my 86 Ranger. The 2.9 is...

Re: What did you do to your ranger today thread IV

Re: Being realistic. Need Advice

Thanks and sorry for the delayed response. Seafoam brand is great and all, but I'm going to rebuild the transmission anyway. Never rebuilt a transmission before. Will getting a master rebuild kit be...

Re: Plastidipped whole truck

Plastidip is nice, bit once it's compromised you have to redo the entire area. My room-mate plastidipped his hub caps and put several coats on it in excess of 5. Somehow there was a deep scrape on it...

Re: Being realistic. Need Advice

Well I didn't change the fluid or filter, but I pumped out at least a gallon of black fluid. Shouldn't be that black for all I know so something is burning up. Put fresh fluid in with some...

Being realistic. Need Advice

Well my Ranger got back from the shop and apparently the fuel-pump fuse was missing and the old distributor just needed to be cleaned since the new one I bought was the broken one. Thanks a lot...

Re: The "what do you hate about your Ranger today" thread

Thanks. Turns out that and the entire distributor is broke and I have a cracked cylinder head. Won't be driving the truck for a long while. Guess It needs a new motor...

Re: The "what do you hate about your Ranger today" thread

Well he started up normally; I put him into drive and moved 2 feet before the engine died and a zapping noise and a large cloud of white smoke and burning plastic came from under the hood. I stopped...

Re: The "what do you hate about your Ranger today" thread

Ford the past 2 weeks it has been over 105 degrees outside and water/coolant has been spurting and trickling out of the EGR valve. There's clean and proper amount of oil and lubricants in the engine...

Re: "Riley" 86 Ranger 2.9L 2WD Automatic
