Re: Front and rear differential oil change

They say it to make the diff run smoother. They can on occasion chatter without it. But with a 26 year old diff your not likely to have that issue.

Re: 16x8 steel wheels

You can still use 15's on the newer truck. With a 32x11 or a 33x12.5 with some lift. Then you can get your 3.75bs, also 15" tires are cheaper then 16" tires, which doesn't make any sense

Re: Rear axle off center. Anyone know what causes this and how to fix?

I just looked at my truck. Same thing, not as drastic as the op though

Re: Show Your System

I love the abilities of a large sub but I'm just not willing to give up the room anymore.

Now that it's finally nice out and I can rebuild the truck I'm going to a single 10 sealed. And a 'quite'...

Re: The Rath Camping Build.

If I was shorter I'd be all. Over that bed setup. That's all that has stopped me from doing a canopy build.

Re: Turbo Failure = Engine damage?

I've had impeller bits end up smashing a head up on me. It really depends on how the turbo went.

Re: coconut oil

Go to your local earth/hippie/natural food store, you'll get the safe to eat stuff for peanuts.

We have both in the house, I'm not convinced there is a difference between them.

Re: coconut oil

Coconut oil is also dirt cheap and will slowly add moisture back into the rubber.

Re: Show Your System

Yeah but his are in a box! He didn't have to cut a big hole in the cab to use them.

The box build for those 24's is sweet

Re: Show Your System

There's an 18" peavey black widow locally for $150. I really want to buy it, cut a big hole in the back of my cab and run it IB. If I was still 20 I would have done it already, 36 year old Me is far...

Well I'm glad it's sorted! And that it turned out to be a simple power delivery problem.

Re: Cheap eBay Headlight Housings

I've never had a problem with them. I've seen a couple fog up from a crap sealing job but you'll have the apart anyway so that won't be an issue

Re: What battery are you guys running?

I get a ton of calls for batteries that I end up fixing with new clamps. Do you have enough slack to just swap out the terminals? Where you live corrosion shouldn't be a big issue.

Re: Help me decide on wheels/tires

Yes you can. 16x8 with a 255/70r16 problem is its a bitch to find a tire that size. That's the factory size on my sport but most manufacturers only offer the 245/75

Re: Truck won't start, just a single click

You shouldn't drop to zero when cranking. I think my truck goes down to around 10.5, I'd have to watch the Volt meter to be sure.

Re: What battery are you guys running?

Heat is the all mighty killer of batteries, not cold like most tend to believe.

If you have aaa have them come install One for you. Interstate battery for cheap and the warranty is far easier...
