as long as its a ho motor the dist cam gears are the same if u go with a DS2 setup like im going to be doing then the dist gear needs to be changed to a steel gear as the older ones have a cast gear

its plug and play i did a swap in my 96 ranger with a exploder cluster and everything works just fine and even looks good but if ur ranger is a 5 speed ull have to take apart the cluster to remove...
