my 01 does the exact same thing an it's got 139k...

my 01 does the exact same thing an it's got 139k on it. It's cheaper to buy a low mileage motor than to fix it

it's a sohc. I really want torque more than horse power. I pull a couple boats nothing extremely heavy the 4.0 just isn't a pulling motor

I've got a 01 ranger 4x4 4.0 automatic. I've got 139k on my 4.0 and the valves are rattling like crazy runs fine it's just lost power. I've thought about rebuilding the 4.0 and add some little bolt...
