Re: 92 2.3l Ranger temp guage reads right at the bottom of normal when hot.

Mine was the same way.
I wouldn't have thought about it except I live in Phoenix.
I can't think of any engine that should run that cool with the a/c going in traffic at 115 degrees.

I pulled the...

Re: Problems... Truck runs fine then doesnt

Yah, I'll be picking up a scanner so I can have it running while the problem occurs and not just at idle when it is running fine.

As for the syncro, it is listed for my make/model/engine/year in...

Re: Problems... Truck runs fine then doesnt

6 months old snagged one when I did an oil change and air filter

I have been doing a bunch of googling and am starting to think that my upstream O2 sensor is sending a false lean measure resulting...

Problems... Truck runs fine then doesnt

My 97 2.3 idles smooth as glass and will run fine on the freeway right until it randomly decides not to.
While cruising down the road it will start chugging like I'm trying to take off from a stop...

Re: My 2000 XLT 5.0 Engine Swap

Big +1
I, and likely quite a few others, may not post here often but I look forward to getting the email notification that there have been updates on this.

If/when you feel up to it, I would love...

Re: Your Gun Pics, Post Em Up!

I installed the adams arms XLP kit for a friend on his M&P15 OR.
It is a very well made setup and runs like a champ.
I have the same model M&P15, but I just don't see the piston setup running $330...

Re: My 2000 XLT 5.0 Engine Swap

Is it the angle of the photo or is your differential pointing down?
I had a similar, only my rear diff was angled up in the front, issue on my old falcon that was causing me to snap rear universal...

Re: Your Gun Pics, Post Em Up!

Oh, it is. I was very surprised how quiet it was when we did before/after comparisons to other bolt actions with the same silencer on them.

The m44 was the loudest unsuppressed rifle without it...

Re: My 2000 XLT 5.0 Engine Swap

I did something similar when I was 17.
I yanked a 302 and trans from a mangled 68 cougar and shoe horned them into a 61 falcon wagon.
All the electrical, plumbing, and efi stuff on that explorer...

Re: Your Gun Pics, Post Em Up!

You're pretty much the polar opposite of my dad...

His m44 has an rpk bipod, pistol grip, and a YHM 7.62 silencer...
Nothing like a $600 silencer on a $100 rifle lol.

Re: Your Gun Pics, Post Em Up!

That is beautiful.

I'll be sbr'ing my m92 soon, but I'm going to go with a russian style triangle side folder.

What finish did you use on those handguards?
All I have done so far is get rid...

Re: How To: Dual ignition Plug mod (Dual plug 2.3/2.5L only)

I agree, it's bs.
In my case I noticed a definite improvement.
After reading all the info available I figured the truck was just due for plugs/wires and by doing this swap I had bypassed a...

Re: Your Gun Pics, Post Em Up!

Very nice. I had a Para-Ord P14 with the LDA trigger for quite a few years.
They are great shooting pistols.

However I am having a hard time remembering what years explorer and or sport track are drop in for my 97 ranger.

Figured I should pop in here and say hey...

Hey.

Now that that is out of the way, I'm hoping I can learn a few things and maybe even contribute a little.

Re: How To: Dual ignition Plug mod (Dual plug 2.3/2.5L only)

Ok, so I did this on my truck last weekend. Seems to have better low rpm torque.
It's too soon to see if it effected mileage but I will update.
Before I averaged 22 to 27mpg, the a/c kicks this...
