Thanks for the help, but it must be the main fuse? Where is the main power fuse located under the hood and what does it look like? Cheers

OK.....I tried all of the above posts. Changed the solenoid, cleaned the terminals etc.
Any other ideas out there. Could I have fried the computer somehow?
stumped.

The starter solenoid? Very interesting. I assumed the lights and other accessory's would work?? I can see why it won't start, but the truck is completely dead. OK.....sounds like either...

Battery is good and no problem with the terminals. I tried a fresh battery with no luck. Normally, the hood light will come on when I connect the battery. Just dead....no lights,...

Backing up to the woodshed with my 87 ranger v-6 I stalled it and tried to restart. The truck is completely dead with a fully charged battery.
