Don't know about your motor specifically but sometimes a vacuum leak can make a repetitive squeak.

Re: Code reader.
I bought something from Amazon similar to what you describe for less than $30. Don't know if it works on a 95. It is ODBII and works on my 06. Search for "Elmscan" if the link doesn't work.

Re: How to get out light scratches from paint
That buffer isn't powerful enough to do much. Go to Harbor Freight and buy their 6 "random orbital buffer. I think mine cost $60. Then buy several pads. They have 3 different types - you'll a...

Re: Moisture build up from A/C
Pretty sure there is supposed to be a duct (tube) connecting the dash vents to the HVAC box near the base of the windshield. I saw it when I took my bezel out while replacing the radio. I think...

Re: why is moisture on the inside of my ranger!
You might check the high brake light above the rear window. They are famous for leaking. You take the light out and run a little bead of silicone where it seals against the cab, then reinstall. My...

I have a 2006 2.3 with manual trans that I bought about 2 months ago with only 20k true miles on it. I also owned a 2002 with the same powertrain a few years ago. Both my Rangers had a very "truck"...

At that age I think I would just replace the battery. But your comment about the charging voltage doesn't seem right to me. I actually had a similar voltmeter on a car that was giving me trouble...

I'm trying to think of something that seems to fix itself after a key cycle. Throttle position sensor is a guess. I believe the computer relearns the closed throttle position on each key cycle.

Re: ford ranger supercab leaky moldings
There are drains in the bottom of the doors to let out the water that runs down the window. Those drains can get clogged. Don't know if that is your problem but worth checking.

Could that be the PCV hose? It's over on the driver's side. I think you have to pull the fender liner to see it.

I don't understand how large leaves can get into the system. The holes on the cowl vent are only about 1/4" dia. Maybe pine needles could get through but not whole leaves. There must...

I'm only guessing but water pumps can go bad. Sometimes the impeller rusts away. If the water pump is easy to access I think I would take it off and see what it looks like inside.
Also look at...

Check the belt. I doubt that's it but a slipping belt would act like a bad alternator.
