for a 2.5l motor the 2.5 head is the only thing you can use. the intake an block is different then the old lima motors an dont bolt up. the 2.5l head has 1 of the best flowing heads . it is a 60cc...

id say a vacuum leak. the suggestions your getting is some of the common places. also look at the vacuum hoses for any crack,broken or lose.

well i hear that it shuts off at 32*
but iv never ever hear my compressor shut off at any cold temps even at -30*c its still running in my 99 explorer.

the ac comes on in winter to dry out the air in the cabin to make defrosting faster. the load of the compressor helps with warm up of the engine in cold weather.
also 134a compressor needs to kept...

not much in that kit. ford has a service recall that has the same fix as the transgo. look it up on explorerforums.com

ya bogus is right at this point theres going to be shavings everywhere in there. either you rebuild or replace it with a junk yard replacement but blow out the cooler lines to get the junk out of em...

obd2 will trip for the littlest thing some times. if it was picking up a miss fire it would trip the light.wifes explorer has a miss fire in the rain anoff it goes once its been started a few times...

pick up an explorer rear. 8.8 rear,disk brakes an most have traction loc an youll get 31 spline. only thing youll have to put flip brackets so it can be used as a under spring set up like the ranger.

put in a remote tranny filter. 30 bux from summit an you can change some oil tranny fluid when you do oil changes. uses a standard ford engine oil filter an uses a liter.

you need a hand held tuner to up the line pressure. sct, delta force there is few others that have this capabilty in there tuners. there isnt much anymore for drill bits an check balls shift kits...

front pump seal is a common problem on the older a4ld. from the sounds of it the tranny has never been out of the truck. there is better replacement parts to fix this common problem from sonnax. go...
