Re: Need help on engine swap
It sounds like you should probably hold off on a complete motor swap until you get a little more experience with wrenching unless your friends are pretty mechanically inclined. The 302 is going to be...

Re: New to starting a 5.0L Swap
Alright so sounds like I will be looking into headers (already have a 2.5" cat back exhaust) and a cam later on. Then I'll probably end up getting a programmer or tuner done here locally. I hear...

Re: New to starting a 5.0L Swap
I don't mean to build a super power house engine. At most I'm thinking 300 hp. I think buying a new 306 or 308 block as you say would easily put it into the 3 grand range after shipping to alaska. I...

Re: New to starting a 5.0L Swap
Yeah I'm looking at trying to get maybe 250 out of the motor for now, the earlier transmissions have the shifter in a slightly different spot where as the 4.2 transmission has it in a similar spot to...

Re: New to starting a 5.0L Swap
Well my current goal is to keep it pretty budget, I was thinking a cam and the tm headers. Anything else I might be able to do while the engine is apart that wouldn't be too expensive?

Re: explorer learned swap
92 - 94 explorers have the axle under the springs, if you go with the 95+ the springs are under the axles, the axles also come with Disc brakes in the 95+.
As for the width I believe them to be...
