Re: Fuel Pump?
[QUOTE=modelageek;2386908]His details are pathetic at best. That being said we do know that his check valve is faulty. He should start by replacing the pump.

Re: Fuel Pump?
I apologize Tomboy, this truck is fairly new to me, I'm an old school guy,
and the thought of a cam sycro on a pushrod motor didn't compute.
It takes 2-3 quick cycles of the ignition to get...

If they are part of the fuel pump assembly they will get replaced
as I would buy the whole unit.
It is getting worse, I have to try starting it 2-3...

Fuel Pump?
So I started having problems starting my 3.0L Ranger.
It will always start, but sometimes it has to crank awhile,
and sometimes it starts right up.
With a pressure gage, I turn on the key, some...

Re: Tesla Motors, let's discuss?
Once Tesla got to the 300 mile range, everything changed.

As far as battery tech goes, what's the incentive.
Maybe make them lighter...

Re: Another new motor, another oil change, another knock.
It's hard to believe this is all bad luck.
Did you take apart previous engines to find the problem?
Could the noise be coming from something else like an accessory
or the trans.?
If the motor...

Re: Possible 4.6 swap
Didn't they put the 4.6 in the 2004 Explorer?
Are the Ranger and Explorer platforms that much different?
In California you can't swap an older motor into a newer Vehical.

Re: Power steering pump
We'll I guess certain things really bother the crap out of me,
so I went and got another rebuilt pump from FORD. (Warranty)
This time I bought new lines and rigged a vacuum setup.
Spent a lot of...

Re: Power steering pump
This is getting stupid.
Reblead the system again and it seems to be getting worse.
I get a loud high pitch whine that I can feel through the steering wheel.
Not a shake like there was air in the...

Re: Power steering pump
Then bleed with the pump running (wheels still off the ground). I had to do that on a Ford Taurus before I got all the air out.
When you say this do mean crack the fittings on the rack?

Went to a local auto parts store and bought a rebuilt replacement.
Followed all the...
