thanks, the truck only has 95k miles on it, I actually threw some more transmission fluid in there and drove it home, a distance of about 2 miles, it would rev up then slam into gear then slip out...

is a 5 speed swap hard to do, is it cheaper because the transmission is so much cheaper?, I called my mechanic and he said for just labor it would be about $150-200
