Just checked Rock Auto's site and they are also showing Hub assemblies with a round connector on them for this model year so obviousily there is more than one type on this truck.
As for using Timken...

Well out of the 3 auto parts stores I've contacted for a 2010 Ranger 4x4only one has the correct hub assembly listed which is $600+. The rest of the stores have listings for the wheel bearing/Hub...
