i just learned that this truck does not have a distributor rather a bank of 6 ignition coils. any chance this could be the culprit? it's not rf interference as the speakers are unplugged but could...

after spending a long time looking for the leak myself i took it into the shop. he sounded confident that they'd find it but just called back and said their best guess is an o-ring on the intake...

no mods at all, truck is totally stock.
either of those things does sound reasonable to me. i have a buddy with a vacuum test kit that i can borrow in a couple weeks but i'll check the throttle...

if i unplug the iac valve will the truck just die when the throttle is closed? i'd like to find out if it was a mechanical or electrical problem with that thing that cleaning wouldn't fix.
