Talking Esmeralda's Progress

As a few of you know I bought a 2003 ranger back in November. It’s still up in the air on what it is, XLT or FX4 Off Road. I bought her from an older gentleman, probably in his late 60’s, who had driven it into the ditch (I’m assuming drunk driving). Hint the flag mirrors, grey bumper, un-tinted (non-sliding back window), missing fog lights and many other things. Although I will never truly understand his reasoning on switching the sun visors from driver side to passenger side and vice versa. I paid $2500 Canadian for it.

I’ve been waiting for my boyfriend to drag our 95 F150 out of the garage so I can do some work to the ranger. Since he got T-boned last Friday the building of the F1shit has been sped up, and should be finished by this weekend or next. Leaving the garage open for me to get some work done. So here is my list of things I plan on changing with in the next letting bit, some immediately and others over the next few months.

ASAP
- Flag mirror removal, changing to stock ones. (May end up going with the 06+ style in the future, not sure yet)
- Back window tint (and some side window tint)
- Fog lights reinstalled.
- Grill swap out for the FX4 style (which is possibly the original anyways)
- Plastic dip the front bumper to match the splashguards.

Later
- New rims and tires (I already have the rims, will post a picture later today)
- Tool box
- Headache Rack (in the making, not installing for a little bit though)
- New deck, something with a aux port
- Installation of the sub (which I have)
- New speakers
- Fix rust under splashguards on the box, along with some paint touch ups (will be getting done sometime in May)
- Off road lights
- Visor (hmmm not sure yet)
- 3” BL plus a 2.5” lift

I’m sure there’s more; I’m just having issues rattling stuff off. Please feel free to share your ideas!

Id suggest trim paint rather then plasti dip. Trim paint is permanent and looks real good on bumpers

I like the truck, looks like it was originally a FX4. Don't know why someone would change things and take things off of it like they did..

Doesn't look bad for being wrecked, all that cosmetic stuff is easily interchangeable

That's why I snatched it up, mechanically everything is sound. Minus the fact the fuel filter needs to be changed. Maybe the pump.
