Default The Ol' Blue Work in Progress

I didn't think that I was going to buy another Ranger anytime soon, but I couldn't pass this one up.

Basically I saw it on the side of the road and passed it up as being nothing special and a piece of junk. I then came back another day and looked at it. After some talking I bought it and sneaked it home.

It's a 1993 XLT loaded with all the options. Skid plates underneath, but there are some little quirks that need to be fixed. The box was absolutely shot so that is long gone as well as the rear bumper. It needs major exhaust work and the manifold gaskets changed. Also I need to figure out why the 4x4 isn't working.

I want to build a flatbed and basically have two compartments for ATV ramps. On the bed I want some storage or maybe a place to mount the spare tire.

I've cleaned up the frame and removed the front end to do some work. I had a tube bumper laying around that fits perfectly and I tacked it on.

I'll be updating the thread when I get my camera back. I'm open to any and all ideas that everyone has!

Default Re: The Ol' Blue Work in Progress

Got some more work done in the last day. Y-pipe is now off and it runs better, just super loud. Good thing my neighbors don't live right next to me. Cleaned a lot of the parts up and ground down the rear frame.

Started to slap some paint on it, but ran out of daylight so I'll do more of that today.
