Gas mileage from the 2.3 isn't too bad but it's not the best. If you do a tune up and stay out of the throttle you could probably get 20-25ish. I measured mine once for a ballpark off half a tank and it was around 17, but I do tend to drive spiritedly. I typically get 250 miles out of a full tank.
The lack of a boot must be it then. Never liked those things.

Even if all I get is 17, that's a lot better than the 11 I get now haha. Sounds good man. The one I'm looking at looks just like yours did when you first got it.

Copy/Paste from my IG post:

People keep asking what happened etc so here's the details. Note I was 100% aware and focused on my driving.

It was at the intersection of Hwy 31 and Valleydale, where the walgreens and publix are. I was coming North on 31 and needed to make a left to get to walgreens. I got into the turn lane with a green light but no turn arrow. There came a break in traffic, minus this one lady who looked like she was getting into the right turn lane, where she would have a yield sign letting me have the right of way. So I made my left turn and BAM. Plowed into my passenger side, and I ended up doing a 270 degree turn with two wheels in the air, stopping in the lane that I was just trying to turn on to.

I hit nothing on impact, my only injuries are some airbag burns on my hands. The lady, who looked in her 60s-ish, was complaining on and off about a pain in her chest, and was quite adamant that she had money in her car and still needed to make a payment on something despite what just happened. No word on anything yet, and I'm relatively nervous on how this will play out.

Thinking reeeeeally hard about an LS400, they've been on my mind pretty strong for a week now. I kinda just wanna make a dope ass sled/cruiser. But now that I don't have something manual to romp I might have to think about something else.

I've got a grand saved up, probably won't get shit from insurance, might either have to ask the grandparents for help or take out a small loan. I'd like to stay $4000 or below.

Man, looking back through my build thread is a feels trip. Thinking back to when I first started doing things to it, even when I was learning how to drive in it... 3 years of memories and I'm a very nostalgic person. You could almost offer me any car in the world and I'd still rather have my truck back.

Here's the very last picture I got, 30 minutes before it happened. It was for group chat.

I might do another one day, but it will never ever be the same. It won't be one that I grew up riding around in. Road trips with my dad for the hell of it when I was pre-10. So many bags of Combos...

Damn it this is too deep for a forum. I'll stop.
