Re: Stewart's '97 XLT
For Stewart's '97: Are those Explorer wheels 14's or 15's? ( My '97 came with 14's.)
Tonight, I measured across the bolts...and I swear..they look like 4.25 !! Can that possibly be?

They're the stock 14" deer hoof. 4x4 Rangers and Explorers that had deer hoof were 15's.

Re: Stewart's '97 XLT
So I think it's time to update the build log! I don't think *too* much has happened since last so here it is in a post.
Back in July, I plastidipped a few things, including my bumper plastics, radio bezel, and tailgate emblem.
I also installed my footwell LED's and a switch into the bezel.
Done
Bright AF
Then what do we have here?
More tinting!
LED's were toooo bright so I taped over with green 3M tape. Much better.
Cleaned up and sitting nice with all the mods
Before/After so far
Made myself a badge because why not??
This picture because chrome ftw
That's all I have now as far as mods go. I've given it several washes since. However, I do have the unfortunate event to post...
Sitting in traffic, a kid in a lifted Southern Comfort F150 wasn't paying attention and slammed into the back of my truck. The plate on my radio DIN adapter flew off all the way to the back of the cab from the force. After getting in touch with the kid and later his dad, all expenses are paid for and a new tailgate should come soon. He found the color code and took the damaged gate to match the color exactly. So for now this is how I ride.

Re: Stewart's '97 XLT
Looking good man, I'm liking the mods. I would've been pissed if someone would've hit my truck like that. I bet the kid was texting or something

That's what lots of people have said, but honestly I don't see the big deal. It was 100% his fault and I get a freshly painted tailgate with a working handle.

True, true. His insurance will pay for everything, I just couldn't stand the thought of someone carelessly damaging my pride and joy that I've put so much work into lol

Nah it's not even insurance. His dad is paying for it himself. Rich kid.
