Default Frame Swap on a 98 4x4

Hello. New to this forum. Have a 98 4x4 that's lived its whole life in NY. Needless to say, I also have frame rot. But I've spent a lot of time and sweat (and $$$) getting this truck running very well and am too dang stubborn to give up yet.

May have found a decent frame. Also know how to weld (somewhat, not a pro) and have access to replacement parts (almost everything that needs replacing are originally riveted in parts) and sheet for fab.

Question is, how much is involved in swapping out a frame?

I've read a bunch of threads here (thank you all) and have no doubts about pulling the bed, cab mounts (someone here found that energy suspension now has them for '98 on) exhaust, etc.

Just need to make a choice between a sound sanded frame and repairing the one I have. In the end, price will be about the same. But it would be nice to have the better frame all clean and painted and all. But maybe less sweat equity in fixing what I have.

Thanks in advance.
