In the truck is your battery light on? And there's no noise unless the bearing inside blows out. also is the battery gauge bouncing up and down?

No light and the battery gauge is right in the middle with no movement.

Could be something else. You could try pulling fuses.

You could go to advance or somewhere like that and get them to test the alt.

Or if you have a volt meter and know how to use it you can test it yourself if you can keep it running

If it stays running once started it isn't likely to be the alternator

try this next time. Get a multi meter and test your battery before you start it. Should be around 12.6ish. Then start it, should be 14.4ish. Then add a load. If it drops below your base charge your alternator is shot, if you dont recieve the 14.4 after starting clean both connections at battery and alternator. A little corrosion may not seem like much, but imagine putting a sheet of paper around the terminal then putting on the cable. Its not much, but still prevents voltage flow.

But it is possible. It happened to me. But yeah it is unlikely

Cold can drain a battery also. If it's been -10 it's a possibility also.

It wouldn't start again so I had it jumped once more. Drove it home then.

Has anything like this ever happened to someone? I've never heard of a vehicle dying by turning on the lights. Also it has a Die Hard battery that is only one year old. The positive terminal has a little corrosion but nothing too bad (Ill be cleaning it off).
Its possibly a weak alternator. Probably a bad diode pattern or only putting out like 13volts. Had a Camry towed into work and it ran after it was jumped off fine but it died once I tried to test the alt. Bad diode pattern and only 13.3 amps
A good alt puts out ~14V

Thanks for all the input guys.

After I got home from work I parked it in the garage and it would start right up. I cleaned the corrosion off and let it sit for a little. I took it for a drive and it was running perfectly fine. I parked it for about 15 mins, went out to start it, and completely dead again. Jumped it and while I was on my way home the abs light came on and a nice thud along with a feeling like you just went over a bump appeared. It happened twice on my way home.

Got home and hooked the battery up to the trickle charger. It says that my battery is drained atm.

Is it weird that the ABS light came on and that thud along with the feeling like I hit a big bump just happened?

low voltage does weird things to the electrical systems.

You just can't catch a break can you?? Sorry bud. New battery should fix it up. Take it to o'reillys and have them test your alternator and battery. After this you'll pretty much have a brand new ranger!

If you keep replacing old broken stuff, you'll have a mechanically new truck in no time!

My battery was on the trickle charger all night. It wouldnt even crank this morning. (Same as yesterday) The trickle charger said my battery was charged. Anyway, I'll be getting a new battery today. I don't know why, but I feel like it's not the battery that's the issue.

just keep faith in it. You've replaced almost everything. Which means it's gona be brand new and be good to go for another 100k! Just keep faith in it.

There's been days where it's one thing after another with my truck and I just keep faith in it.
