So what's next? Maybe some bigger tires?

Unless I can find a newish pair for cheap, probably not. That shop bill put a big hole in my wallet.

What I'd like to do next would be to have some new #1 bars installed. But again, theres the money issue.

I wish you were closer. I can pull and remove torsion bars in my sleep without even thinking of using an unloading tool or a c-clamp. lol.

I gotta move to florida.

I'd consider doing the #1 bar install myself but I don't wanna mess with all the tension on the tbars, it scares me. One slip and something terrible could happen. Also when I cranked my bars I used my dads crappy breaker bar and kinda stripped one bolt head a little.

Not much of an update but I got a d-ring shackle for my receiver. I didn't no the safety issue of using my tow ball until I watched this video:

Yeah you always want to use enclosed shackles if possible and solid receivers. A standard hollow receiver is made to be yanked on.

the injuries could also have been avoided if people would stand away from tow straps when someones pulling. I don't see why people feel its necessary to stand in the path of the straps.

Because they don't know any better. That's like around here we have powerline park mud bogs and at least once a year someone is getting killed by a strap breaking or a chain.

Yea I don't do chains. If I get stuck and all thats available is a chain, I'm staying stuck unless potential motor damage is possible such as getting stuck in a water crossing

holy fuck.....

Well that makes me kinda unsure about the way I was tugged on things today. Getting a forklift unstuck from the mud today....but I have a triball hitch and used a tow strap.....that could have ended badly....

I'd like a little advice here.

When cranking my tbars I stripped the head on one of the bolts, therefor I didn't crank them as much as I would have liked to. So, If I wanted to remove that bolt and get a new one from ford, what would I need to do?

Why do you want to crank them more? Also remember when you start messing with them you'll have to pay for another alignment. How much until they are fully cranked?

I can get a pic tomorrow. Alignment doesn't bother me.

I mean it's not that big of a deal, Ill see how much more room I have to crank and see if its even worth the hassle.

I plan on getting some #1 bars sometime in the future too. I don't know if I could do the install, and if not, I could just have ford deal with that and have them put a new bolt on.
