Nice gauges. I saw a set of those at the pull a part on my last visit. I wish I had grabbed them.

Oh ok, I was just curious on how you would fix your speedometer. A buddy of mine has the same issue

Hey Man awesome thread I just read through it. Love the SAS I would like to do the same eventually (after a cummins 4bt). Can you take more pictures (pic of the bottom of the axle too please) of how you made the front axle u-bolt less and welded those plates on? Is it just a plate welded to the axle And then sandwiches the leafs and a top plate? Also if you dont mind just explains a little bit what you used for the steering (jeep or ford parts or combo)
Thanks in an advance man!

Thanks man I also want to do a 4bt but that's when this motor starts to die or at least that's what I keep tellin my self.

As far as the ubolt less goes it is just a plate welded to the perch and sandwiches the leaves together. I have sense cut that off and went to ubolts. Honestly the ubolts are easier.

I'll haver truck on the lift this week flipping my shackle mount up so ill grab some pic then. Also I'm going spring under axle for now this thing sits way to high for 33s I would love 35s but not enough motor now.

Steering is just all jeep parts spliced into the ford drag link near the pitman arm. I want to do the gm 1 ton steering mod as soon as I get it set where I want.

Okay thank you that helped a lot idk why I couldnt really understand it in the pics a few pages back

Also a 4bt wouldnt be bad just look for that old bread truck in a field and see if you can score the truck and scrap the aluminum off the truck. Looks like you have prior diesel experience (from you other builds) where its a whole new learning curve for me. But shit all your truck really needs is a couple more leaf up front for that 800lb queen. Or the diesel could help you lower your truck?.........
