Well, this chapter in my Ranger's story is over. It's not a final goodbye, but I have been needing a more reliable car for awhile now and I'm about to start an internship that will require a lot of driving every day.

I stayed with the blue oval and ended up getting a 2015 Focus ST! So far I am loving it.

This is not the end of the Ranger, though. I have big plans once I graduate and can save up some money. I plan on putting an unnecessarily large amount of money into a full restomod. I'm talking Ecoboost swap, custom drivetrain, the best suspension money can buy, top notch paint job, interior repair, etc., etc., etc.

Thank you to this community over these past 5 or 6 years though. I never could've built my truck like I did without this forum.

Great pick on the Focus ST, I have a 2013 ST Performance Blue, check out FordSTNation.com, it was a pretty good forum, I just bounce between the ST and Ranger, great combination to have, enjoy!

The Ranger is in the shop right now. Turns out the engine issues I've been complaining about for awhile are pretty serious. There is zero compression in all three cylinders on the driver's side. The company I bought the new engine from is shipping out a new one to be put in. Luckily it is still under warranty!

Good luck with the new motor. After one bunk motor, I wouldn’t have trusted the company; I would’ve got my money back and bought from another company

As user ranger*danger suggested, I shouldn't have trusted the company again. This motor is just as bad as the first.

I'll actually be starting a new project thread within the next few months. My dad bought the Ranger brand new in 1999 then sold it to me in 2011 when he finally bought a new car. As I posted before, I moved on from the Ranger as a daily driver about 2 years ago, and it has basically been used as a barn truck at my parents' house since then.

This truck still means a lot to me and my father from all the years and work put into it. We are going to re-build it from the frame up and replace the 3rd motor with an all-electric system. We' re looking to model the EV West shop truck (~80-100 mile range), which would be perfect for use as a barn truck.

Anyways, this community is awesome and even though I haven't posted in awhile I still love to lurk here. Thanks everyone for such a great experience.
