After doing some figuring and lots of thinking ive desided to start a sas on my 94 explorer. I got her in the shop and completly striped her of all the suspension parts and most of the drivetrain. I'll post pictures of my progress soon. but i also have my little 88 ranger thats been sitting out in the back yard with a blown 2.9 and in need of some TLC. So after a few pages of parts lists and some drawings I think ive got a good starting point with both my projects. The x-plorer is going to be riding on fw axles ford d44 and a 9in. Ive got my 9" already and just got my new spring perches in last week so the back will be started but ive still not found the d44 i like yet. but since this is a ranger forum ill talk about it some too. My plans for the ranger are to take the suspension axles drivetrain from the explorer and drop them all in the ranger. I want the 4.0 motor and i want to go with a 5 speed transmission but i dont know yet. I want my xplorer to be basicly the same drivetrain too 4.0 5 speed. I want some feed back on these projects let me know what you think and any suggestions will be appreciated.

Ill get some pictures of the ranger tomorrow when i get it pulled up to the shop shes sitting all depressed looking with the rear axle out and no bed but she'll be rolling tomorrow if they close school agian thats one plus to going to college in the mountains it snows alot in the winter lol. Bad thing is im paying to go and not getting to. I also found another explorer its a sport with the 4.0 5 speed So if i can talk the owner out of it my little xplorer wont be a shitty A4LD auto no more, and my ranger will have its 4.0 too then ill just strip the rest of the explorer (seats, dash, doors, fenders, hood, grille, axles, headlights, taillights, rear hatch, and im sure theres more then just take the gutted body to the scrap yard. I could just swap the cab from the ranger to the sport and bob the bed now were talking lol. Wait I might be on to something has that been done before???? Back to the drawing board lol.

Well I haven't posted in a while so I figured I would I've sold my little 88 cause of money problems and because I'm a full time student. The explorer sas is put on hold to because I haven't found a d44 and money but I did get a 92 explorer sport with a 5 speed that I swaped into my 94 and its coming along pretty good
