2001 Ford ZX2 5 speed MTX all power options no fog lights 176k miles
I'm not one for naming cars but this one came with a name so i kept it. It was my girlfriends mom's car she got it in 2001 with 4k on it and a rebuilt title (water damage) she has been driving it ever since and just recently she had to keep taking it to a shop and get things fixed (I was at work and couldn't help) and was getting charged huge amounts to get it running again and it would break down again a few weeks later. The last time she took it in they said the computer was possibly bad (check engine light comes on and goes off) so she parked it and started looking for a new car she got a 2013 focus sedan 5 speed SE and gave me little red for just the cost of tags and title basically. She knew I needed something better on gas and knew i could fix most of whatever broke. She never really cleaned it much so it was filthy when i got it and has some fender and door damage. Has a new water pump and serpentine belt, also the ac compressor has been removed and it has 2 new front tires.

Here is the day I got her

Had to replace the timing belt the next day... but thanks to teamzx2.com i got it done. Then on to finding out why it jerked in the corners (balljoints) replaced and both front sway bar links replaced one back on. It has a clunk in the right front i think it is the tie rod or strut but no money till after Christmas so it has to wait but it is my DD now.

I didn't put the pedals in

I have a coolant leak somewhere i can't locate it

I need new rims these are shot and the back one's leak.
My girlfriend has a 99 zx2 with everything but its automatic... a lot less miles though 85k when she got it.

Sweet deal. I've always kinda wanted one of these for some reason.

If it were me I'd definitely get some tint once you got all the mechanical stuff done

I plan on it! I tell you what this car is quick! it doesn't have a shit ton of power but it is so light it just goes when you need it too and i get 36mpg outta it!

Hell yeah. I love little shitbox four bangers. I've had a lot of them. Love the gas mileage, and I think the automakers know they don't have much power so they make the gearing pretty aggressive.

moved my ultragauge from the truck to the car today i figured it would do more good their since the truck is doing 17 mpg at best so i never drive it anymore
