My 1987 Ranger Project / Restoration
Hi Everyone I just wanted to show all of you My Project,
Hope You Like What I've done !!
I'll Start with What it looked Like When I purchased it for 250.00, It didn't run and was previously A work Truck....
I Found The Problem With The Truck Not Running (A Bad Fuel Pump Relay) And The Truck Ran GREAT ! So I got it smogged and Then Registered and Started Ripping into The Truck !
Then I Took it To the Bodyshop, it took 1 Month and ALOT of patience, While it was in the Bodyshop I placed an order with LMC truck, I ordered Carpet, all new Weatherstriping and Door Seals.
And After It was All Done Here it is at My Friends Bodyshop, They Do GREAT work and Have Painted MANY Off-road Rangers and Street Trucks, They Are a PPG Test Center for Riverside County, So you know that it was done Right !
Here's One for all you Chevy Guys to get off on..... LOL ! (Just a side Note... I could have driven it home If I had my Bench Seat with me But Towing it seemed easier and safer.)
And After I got it back to my place I Started to put it back together and here is the FINAL Result !!
There it is !! Here is One Final Picture, The Odometer....
It has 227,720 Miles on the ORIGINAL Transmission and Motor, It's a GREAT Truck and it's only gonna get better ! I have plans to Drop the front maybe 2 inches and the rear level with the front drop. I also Am Thinking about a Bed Rug or Spray in bedliner for the back.
Thanks for looking guys Feel free to ask any questions !
Troy.

Wow, great work! I was worried at the beginning that you were going to get rid of the Cragers. Glad you kept them.

Thanks Guys ! Yea, I want to try and Get the Craigers A Little cleaner MAYBE re-chrome them so they look better. I want to lower the rear so the truck sits level and do a spray-in bedliner. I'm looking for a 2.3L Turbo t-bird motor To drop in and then it will be REALLY Fun !!

Thanks Guys, The Dash Cam out of a REALLY Clean 1987 Bronco II that was just dropped off to the junkyard, the dash was in great Shape so I decided to use it. I was going to put in a 2nd gen. dashboard but wanted to keep the original dashboard.
I am thinking about puting on a rollpan to clean up the rear, I was just looking at some Saleen Sporttruck Pictures, DAMN LOL totaly 80's design, but love the way the rear looks.

VERY NICE truck! My suggestions:
Paint that ugly wood grain black
spray-in bedliner
get chrome handles for front doors to match tailgate and wheels
new wheels and tires, not really digging those, some baby moons would look sick!
I also think it would look good if the grille and bumbers were colormatched
