Kjamesm 2004 Ranger Build Log
So I thought it would be kinda cool to do a build log for my ranger. Little info, I bought it from a dealer about 6 months ago. Its a 2004 4wd manual with manual everything down to the rubber floors. I chose this one when I was looking at rangers cause it had a Lift installed and the truck had 45K miles on it. Turns out it was a Superlift and it even had the Superlift driveshaft installed as well so that saved a lot of money for me. So here it is when I got it home after I cleaned it, the dealership obviously didn't think this ranger was worth any time at all. The Thule roof racks were in the bed of the truck along with a bunch of trash and an old honda civic trunk mat. It looked like it had been washed and felt like it hadn't been waxed since it was built.
So here it is stock when I got it, with the 235's and canopy, lift, and some chrome grille insert thing.

I seem to do all my mods in spurts. So my next update to my truck was to have 285x75x16 Duratracs put on, update the fender badges to the 2006 style, add a 2006 fender emblem to my canopy to tie it all together, 2006 mirrors, FX4 bedside decals, and remove the chrome insert from the grille.

So then I decided to finally rid myself of the chrome grille, I love the look of painted grilles and numbers and I especially love the 2006 grilles. So I bought a new 2006 grille and had it paint matched, then added some 2006 taillights.
  ---------- And finally how it sits now. I took the canopy off and it'll stay off unless I'm camping or it's snowing. Was able to find a junkyard tailgate that matched my paint so I brought it back to life and re-badged it. Stay tuned, future mods include pocket fender flares paint matched, window tint, maaaaaaybe a body lift, painting the wheels dark silver, and who knows what else....maybe rock sliders.

Keep up the good work and I would throw a led bar under the ford logo in the grill. I want to do that with my truck but don't have the funds at the moment

I've been thinking about a light setup up front. I really like the idea of 4 lights on a single light bar in front of the grille. I've also tossed around the idea of a brush guard.
