Default 2003 Ford Ranger XLT "The Cutie"

Well, I used to keep a build thread for my Chevy truck on a Chevy forum so I guess I should keep a build thread going for my Ranger as well.

Picked this baby up last October with 114k miles. It has been in a front end wreck (ran off road into a telephone pole) and has a new front end on it, new radiator, etc.

Here is when I bought it.

----------

First thing was to remove the ugly ass bed rail caps and then put 06+ tails and corner lights!

----------

Then came an '03 Ranger Edge grill w/ buggman white emblem and LED ring.

----------

Next came a safari bar with HELLA 500 driving lights w/ 8k HIDs

----------

Current project next to my previous one.

8k driving lights

Driving lights with high beams

----------

Replaced camshaft syncronizer at 119k.

Keep it up man! Don't understand why you call it "The Cutie" though. Haha

LEDs all around.

Cluster LEDs

Mustang Dome: soft white center led, regular bright map leds

----------

Sony Headunit w/ buggman painted 2-2 fog/12v bezel
Explorer Silver HVAC

Also, have paracord handles (light grey + white) made by a member here
The wire goes to a microphone hooked into my headunit for handsfree calling.

Within the last month I've had a spray-in bedliner installed along with a 36" UWS black wedge chest

Thanks man!

The first day my girlfriend saw it the first words out of her mouth were "It's so cute!". The name kind of stuck even though I've done everything in my power to "manify" it.

Truck looks good man! You have done some nice mods to it. That bezel looks amazing.

Quick question, I noticed your temperature gauge was down, is the truck on or not? My gauge goes backwards, I was wondering if yours did the same. Lol.

It was off on that picture. haha, everything in the pictures was done a while back but I did the cluster thing today! My gauge goes from the bottom to the top, not backwards. Something might be wrong with your cluster then!

Ok lol. Just figured I would ask! I love the leds in my cluster, makes a world of difference.

Yeah, it's kinda a long story but I won't junk up your thread with it haha. Anyway, can't wait to see what's next on your list!

I want some black rims, all terrains, an OHC (I can do wiring easy, I just hate it so much so I'm lazy), new tensioner and waterpump pulley, tinted windows, new windshield as mine is cracked from the pole it ran into, and much much more!

I'm right there with you on the ohc. I hear ya man! Good list.

If you ever need any ideas, check out my build thread. I have a white single cab too. Might give you a thought or two!

I like seeing the progress. But please, put your factory grille "dam" back in. That's why we can see your white header panel and radiator core support behind the honeycomb.

I personally like the new grille. Maybe just paint the other stuff behind it black. Your radio bezel stands out, I like it.

I noticed you mentioned a thread on your Chevy... what forum? Mind posting a link?? I've spend countless, countless, COUNTLESS hours scrolling and reading through 67-72chevytruck's build threads!

Have a '71 short-narrow C10 myself....she's my baby.

His truck should have had a black plastic ducting work behind the grille. Upon further inspection of the "beginning" photos, it looks like that ducting wasn't even there to begin with with....someone removed it in it's past. Pic is kinda hard to tell but all I could find....light colored '01-03 trucks got 'em...white, gold, silver, bright blue, yellow, etc.

Don't get me wrong, I love me some 01-03 XLT 4x4/Edge grille!!! Pop off the grille, get out the masking tape and scotch brite pad and paint that core support!
