I bought a 1999 Ford Ranger XLT 4-door Ext. Cab 4x4 Stepside in September of 2009.

Mods from start
Thrush Dual Exhaust

Westin Safari Light Bar

3 inch Performance accessories body lift

Cobra 18 Cb radio with a 4ft firestik

Raised rear bumper

15x8 Series 52 Pro Comp wheels 3.75" BS with 32x11.5r15 Cooper Discoverer STT

Nightshaded tails and corners 1 coat each

More mods to come!!!

I need to update this more. A month and a half ago I got Rancho RS5000s installed all the way around. Greatly improved the ride both on and off road.

It looks good! Did you find the console at a Pull-a-Part yard? How did you secure it in?

Thanks man. Yep, found it at a JY. It was in the last explorer I checked. A '95 Limited. I used 1 1/4", 2", 2 1/2" bolts to secure the front and rear brackets. I had to use washers to level the front bracket. I had to get a bracket from another explorer. Why Ford chose plastic I have no idea.

I broke that little plastic bracket as well. Luckily for me, Ford had two ways of securing the front of the console, so I found the two plastic clips in another Explorer and did it that way.

I remember you telling me about the clips but I didn't find any. The 3 consoles I took apart were all with the plastic bracket. The one that the console came out was broken, I broke the second one trying to move another console. The third one I was more careful with.

Thanks man. I love it. Just be careful if you have that plastic front bracket. It breaks easy.
