you're gonna whine about a manual on a trail but pass up a manual t-case to go with it? come on...

with my lower gearing, i let my manual idle through everything. dont even touch it till i stop somewhere, AND you'll have 4 low, making the clutch usage even more unnecessary. and the thing is, you probably know enough about rangers to know that a ranger auto will shit on you well before an m5rod1-hd does. food for thought :P i do like the grandma owned one though, check it out. if it's legit, grab it.

Damn I can't believe you're having such a hard time finding a truck. I wonder why they're more expensive in your area? You might wanna expand your search area maybe take a road trip. Good luck on your seach!

And x2 on what Morgan said. When my truck was a 5 speed I hardly used the clutch or the brakes. Now with an auto I'm always on my brakes unless im in 4lo. I wish I could've kept mine a 5 speed..

So how much did you pay for it? I just presume you bought it because I know you are tired of looking at trucks.

i havent gone back to work yet. Went to help a buddy pick up a boat. Headin back to school now to get my car so i can head back to work

Well I test drove it. Drives good. Has what i believe is a flowmaster exhaust system on it. Valance is cracked, sounds like the alternator bearing is going out, dent in the rear bumper (already knew about that), the dash lights and headlights/corner lights kind of flicker a tad. Brighter, somewhat dimmer brighter, scratch on tailgate, and i think the rear pinion is just starting to seep. My price $8817 out the door. And the seat is tore a little bit

All the crap you listed is non important things when buying a vehicle.
Don't sweat the small stuff. Its used

the flickering lights is the only issue i have with it. I was just naming what wasnt perfect on it

^^the flickering lights would have me running. i wont touch a truck with an electrical gremlin unless its either already my own problem, or if i know exactly what it is. that sounds like something important is loose.
