Wouldn’t help much in this case but I have though about it. I was pushing snow all the way too the bumper.
Would be easy to adapt some plastic ATV style guards or make some carbon ones

I have always used a ground tent or tarp when I camp. The wife wanted the trailer and it’s great for family trips but tough Offroad.
The RTT will be fun.
