Doing some work this Labor Day.

Reinforced my shock towers, installed limit straps and remounted my resiviors

Now I have my springs torn down to install new bump stops.

The rear cycles 17" of travel before the springs invert.

They are a custom set from deaver. They started with a G50 pack and added an extra leaf for weight and towing.

Gotcha.. yea I'm working with Scott over there for the new frame setup for same reasons. I see you also implemented the flipped rear hanger too. Help a lot for what you do?

Nice! Ya they are good guys. To get the most out of the deavers a shackle flip is a must. Plus if your going with a g50 variant moving the hangers back is needed. The f31s are shorter I believe so you don't have to move them but they are pretty soft.

Did you end up moving the rear hangers back further or the fronts forward like using the Chevy 64.00" springs with the shackle flip?

I have same needs. Mostly for hauling gear than towing. My current setup has somewhat impressed me over stock with towing.. the 5x9 trailers seem to be a joke and the 6x12 tandem axle trailers actually made me feel something when loaded up. But mostly gear hauling and the few new upgrades have me concerned with weight.

Even what I have as of now I barely get any squat down at all and Ive pushed the weight in the bed pretty good when moving and clearing out my storage units last couple years.

Mine are currently move to the rear of the truck 4" back holes of the hanger become the front holes. And down 2 inches. The front hangers are in the stock location.

Was there any difference between the two methods or was that just the route you took? I wondered on whether or not that creates any loading differences on the spring as far as reaction or behavior of the springs function?

Might be a question to ask Scott at Deaver about too..

I did it in 2 phases, first removed the stock hangers and installed the 1.5" kartek drop hangers in the rear holes 4"back.

Then moved them down a few months ago when I swapped my axle to eliminate a 2" block.

No difference in ride or performance

Which Shackles did you end up going with? I seen Camburg still has them along with a couple others out there and I was considering the same Kartek units for the rear hangars. Did you stay with rubber bushings or did you choose urethane?

And noted about the ride and performance. From my understanding the reverse shackle flip just gives you more articulation.

Im still running stock shackles but I am shopping for a set with poly bushings for more swing and less mushyness. Mostlikley will get BtFs

Yes flipping the shackles gives more wheel trave and really helps reduce axle wrap.
