DO NOT CUT AND EXTEND CAST BEAMS!!!!!! If you want to cut and extend beams go to the junk yard and pick up some forged beams. They are available on 88 and older rangers. Its a very simple process to extend them. If your still planing on running coil springs instead of coil-overs i recommend ordering some 5.5 coils from Camburg. They are Eibach Coil-Springs but i believe camburg holds the contract so you have to order the spring threw camburg.

Your gonna want to take thos beams in and have them bent so you can keep the correct camber. Then cut and extend in between the radius arm bolt hole and the beam end. then just plate the whole beam.

you will also have to extend your steering.

You can also just order beams already complete if thats easier. Give Dave @ Threat Motorsports a call. Thos pics are of his beams. If you have any other questions just shoot me a PM or i can make a new thread to explain it in better detail.

Once you have the beams build them just build/buy longer radius arms and you'll be set.

Watch that upper shock mount. The force on that tube will be in a twisting motion and it can break the tabs. I have seen it happen. Make sure to plate it in and maybe even tie in another tube on the other side somehow.

In that pic they weren't finished yet. I'll get some pics when i get a chance.

We finally started making progress again. Picked up the beams and the heim finally came in.

Well I haven't been doing a great job of keeping up on this thread. Its hard between all the moving. When i left the truck was almost complete. The Interior was pretty much done, except for dash, and the engine cage was all tacked together. My buddy, the owner, finally put the knuckles on and had someone else give him a had to weld up the engine cage. The welds didn't turn out very well so i'll be grinding them down and redoing them. I was down on friday to help install the windows and hood. Then gave it a much needed bath! lol. Now for the pics!

The are still some small thing that need to get finished before we can really take it out. headlights, trurn signals, Air bumps, straps, and a real battery mount (not a ratchet strap lol). Its was fun ass hell just driving it around town though lol!

Its not all about having 4wd. That thing is 2wd and so is mine. You don't need 4wd for what we do!
