Alexa's 2004 XL 3.0 Mod Thread

I haven't done anything spectacular, but the truck looks much better than it did when I bought it so I figured I'd start a mod thread.

February 2011: Day I bought it, $5200 before $3000 trade in for my old truck, so paid $2200 cash.



Drove it completely stock for a few months. Finally got the itch to start modding it.
First was new tires. Good friend of mine works at Goodyear, so I got some Wranger Radial 235's for $200 for a complete set. They're not real mean looking, but definitely better than the stocks. And, they were crazy cheap.



I love the look of the headlight mod, so that was next. Will eventually get some 06+ corners and mod them as well.



Then, I was tired of looking at my faded bumper and that bulky looking grille. So I painted the rim of the grille and restored the plastic on the bumper. (Sorry, no daylight pix.)



That's how it sits today. I have many more things I'd love to do, but they're all money pending.
- 06+ mirrors and corners.
- New wheels.
- Line-X rocker panels.
- Projectors??
- 3" BL??

Interior wise, I bought a fairly cheap head unit from WallyWorld. 8" Bazooka tube with some cheap hand-me-down amp. That's all for now.

Oh I hate them, lol. New ones are on the to-do list. But in the mean time, I've been thinking about having them painted black and leaving the center caps chrome. Get that 5-0 look going... lol!

yeah i think it would look much better with black rims..... instead of the silver.....

I love these Mickey Ts, but I'm sure they cost an arm and a leg.



But I'd like something along those lines, even if their a cheaper knock off. With the black and chrome, so it will really tie into the whole black and white thing the truck has going on.

Yeah those stocks that are on it now just look ugly IMO. Definitely want something with black in it.
