Swapping 5.0 from mustang into 2000 ranger

I have access to quite a few mustang 5.0's but i dont know everything i need really. I have a 2000 xlt ranger 4x4 with a 3.0 manual. What would be the best year 5.0 mustang to swap with? and what tranny and wire harnesses would need to be used or easiest? also what would i have to do to keep it a stick shift?

its the same V8 only thing i can think would be different would be the motor mounts

T-5 transmission from 1984-1995? mustang i think, if you want to keep 4x4 you'd need a m/t and transfer case from an f150. Wiring for EFI I don't really know about since my truck is carbed. I had my motor mounts made and have the templates with measurements if you want them. The clutch pedal needed heavy modification to make it into a cable type pulling pedal although I think you can buy hydraulic conversion kits for the t-5. Also have measurements and specifics on the pedal if you want them. And like DJ said, basically any year 302 will work, the templates for my motor mounts are for a 1974 block but I think the mounting holes are the same on any year block
