Been tossing this idea around for a while, finally got around to cleaning out the garage enough to get the truck in. I wanted a way to take my shell off by myself, and it is now possible!

This is ran with steel cable and a come-a-long. Porch swing hooks, lag bolts, and pulleys in the rafters with caribeaners for quick disconnect from the rafter.








this was my firs attempt using these hooks and about 1/2" rope, come to find out that i needed to step it up to some heavy duty equipment.

so after raising it and lowering it a few times, I came to the conclusion that I need a bigger cable. it keeps rolling off the roller.

it's really helpful. it's not the best but it gets the job done. once it's down on the bed I can get in and make minor adjustments.
