Re: funding and design begins!!!!
i'm not sure what inteior u have. but mabye u could get a wood grain that u could stain and make it a dark color? then clear coat it and be off. and have it in the bed would be sweet. =)

Re: funding and design begins!!!!
Thats going to look fantastic, Iwould suggest you read up on steaming wood in order to get it to follow the curves of the floor .

Re: funding and design begins!!!!
yeah i already now how to steam wood, but to do that you gotta use a soft wood, hard woods dont like to curve how you want them to so i plan on seam them together because most of the bends are covered so you wouldnt see them to much

Re: funding and design begins!!!!
Good luck with the project! Make sure to take a BUNCH of measurements and write down everything about each piece of wood you use. That way you can do conversions or make a write-up for others to do so really easily and narrow the actual budget of the project down to the dime
My dad and I made and installed a chrome and finished wood bed in his '57 GMC Pickup when I was growing up. Woodwork + trucks is BONER.

Re: funding and design begins!!!!
oh i always write down measurements, but what i think im gonna do is take it one board at a time, like only measure one board, cut, place, and move on to the next one

Re: funding and design begins!!!!
That is going to be a bitch to take care of. If you have any snow on your boots in winter and it melts while driving your floor is going to warp...

I bet he can put a clear urethane down to prevent that.
