Default My new project: CB control relocation

This idea came to me when i took my cb out to clean it lol.
Im relocating the "face" of my cb with all the controls away from the guts. my plan is to have all the guts under the seat, and be able to control my cb from just the face that i will mount on the dash somewhere.

what i started with

inside

helping hands

What i have done so far:
removed peat/repeat: Elmer Fudd's "somethings awful screwing going on around here"
numbered all (53) cut wires
removed all switches/dials
added 42" of wire to all switches/dials

This has been one very tedious task! I have been working on it for 4 days now and it seems like im moving in slow motion.

now now gents!
10 bucks?! lol
its on hold at the moment. we are packing things up to move out by the 30th. so its all bundled up and waiting till we get moved.
i still need to get something to house all the switches and dials, all the wires have been lengthened 3' i believe. still have about 10 wires to do. its coming along slowly, ive come too far to just drop it!

I really like that idea! I think I'm going to have to do that next week maybe.
