Re: 93 Ranger-Bare Frame Rebuild
Very nice workmanship, photographic documentation and narrative. Look forward to more.
Love the excellent front bumper design. The rear bumper, while very functional, appears out of place by comparison. Perhaps adding some sort of aesthetic half-pipe work embellishment carrying the front bumper theme?
/My $0.02.

Re: 93 Ranger-Bare Frame Rebuild
Great work so far, one thing that I appreciate more than anything is an owner that does all of their own work. I can tell by the way you are doing things this will not only be a clean Ranger (for a short time LOL) but will also be a monster.

Re: 93 Ranger-Bare Frame Rebuild
Here is my concept of a possible skid plate. I will of course add cross members to stiffen it up and it will also double as a T-Case mount. What do you think?

I totaly agree. I built the rear way before I even thought about the front. I might just keep this one for now or if I have extra tubing when I get some I may just have to design a rear bumper. But once agian i agree to two dont match at all..... and I really appreciate your input.

Thanks man. It means so much more to build my own truck rather then tell someone to do it. Plus its a whole lot cheaper. I love being able to puy my own ideas and hard work into my truck it makes it more of "mine". Thanks for the compliments!

I really wish I could say but I cant. I live three hours away from my truck and I dont think I will work on it much in the winter due to it being in a non heated barn.... Metal tends to stick to your skin with WI winters. Unless I could become super good friends with someone up here that has a nice big garage that I could bring my project too

Bed Ideas?????
Alright guys I need your help. I cant decide what I want to do about a bed. I was thinking maybe some kind of flat bed but idk.... Or maybe a Truggy type bed would be cool but with my long box? muuhh... idk And would it still be street legal? I just dont know. Maybe you guys can give me some ideas. Tell me what you like or post pictures of what you think would look cool. I would like to keep it road legal and something that isnt too expensive. At least not yet. Thanks everyone!

Re: 93 Ranger-Bare Frame Rebuild
well, i have a feeling if anybody could pull off a flat bed, it would be you. because it appears you don't half ass stuff so you'd make it look good. and i think it could.

Ha ha and i am jealous of everyone that has a welder, torch and tube bender to use when ever they want. Every thing I have done has been on weekends while trying to balance out time with my wife, her family, and my family. Its tough getting things done. I live 3 hours from my truck so the weeks I am in Faribault I am planning on what to do on my truck and trying to design new things for my truck on my CAD program. Also I work at a factory that has metal, shears, and a press. So I can try to build some stuff up here. while trying to get my dad to send me dimensions from home. So dont be too jealous. Its gonna be a slow process but thanks for the encouragement.
