Default Kingoverace: 98 SAS - Enter at own risk!

Timeline:
Some time ago in the distant past...

Wheeling a stocker with scott5640

----------

Time to start modding!!

01-03 Front end conversion, Baja light bar, and Aftermarket headlights

Cleaning the interior

----------

Winter action!!

And now...Many moons later. Everyones favorite part
Lift and tires: 3" Body lifting (cheap, effective, good start)

I'm flexy and I know!

And finally...Many dollars later..I present to you 33's!

----------

Odds and ends...Here and there mods...

Altezza tails

Blacked emblem

Cluster with a APC(?) shift knob

One of my favorite parts...Xploder 8.8 LS 4.10s with discs.
...good lord, what were you thinking differential and brake line

3.0 { A look inside the dog house}

----------

Okay, this is where this gets tricky...
FYI: At this point, my 3.0 has siezed up with a twisted cam shaft. no money, no ride, but brainstorming like its my job. I picked up a 93 2.3 for DD. It was at the point I decided, since I need to motor swap also, why not SAS it!!!

Shackle Lift first!

IFS ready for cutting!

Making progress

----------

Dana 44 with 4.10s Reverse Cut / High Pinion Warn Locking Hubs Disc brakes

Yota box with new steering link and Borgeson steering shaft setup

4" Bronco Lift coils

Now sitting on 35s! 7" of lift total. 4.10s, D44 SAS with 8.8 Rear

Now the SAS still needs work. I need to remount the yota box with less angle on steering shaft because of the body lift. I'm currently fabrincating my own shock towers to hold my Pro Comp 3000s. And making my own adjustable Coil buckets; credit to Ballistic Fabrications, who make them for $90. They just wont make a small adjustment I requested do to it going against their recomendations. I need to get a trac bar mount fabricated as well. And lastly I need to do the brake lines.

That all aside, I took a break from the SAS and did some other work.
Pulled that 3.0 that was siezed.

Got my new baby. 4.0 OHV and 4r55e Just had a full rebiuld less than 500 miles ago.

The 4.0 is in now. Now I'm finding a few more problems. The elctrical harness will need some doing and also the OHV has 2 fuel lines running off the motor versus my current fuel pump which has a 1 line system. Think I have a solution for that so i can fire this baby up.

Taking a break from that as well. Lol. I went to the back of the truck one last time to make sure everything was 100% Overall, cleaned it up a little more and layed down some more paint. Forgot to mention. I added a Xploder leaf and 1 other leaf to my pack. However, the main leaf is shot and needs to be replaced. Before the Xploder leaf it was laying flat and level.

Something i felt was a must, I added a crossmember inside the frame in the rear. To avoid some frame twisted when pulling on my rear tow hook. Had to cut out the tire carrier which had a siezed crane on it anyways and I felt was garbage. Now I need to get a brace fabricated for my tow hook since the old one's angle won't work with my new cross member.

Either way, I've procrastenated long enough. Time to go back to the SAS and 4.0 swap and get this thing wheeling again!!!!

Thanks. The Dana 44 i bought of a buddy. Came from a 78 Bronco with the just about everything from the coils down to the radius arms. The drag link was from a 78 F150 thanks to Rockauto.com. For the steering shaft, Ford78 showed me his setup which consist of Flaming River and Bogerson parts. FR1781 is the 1" DD x 11/16"-36 spline u-joint that goes to the yota box
FR1716DD 3/4" DD x 3/4 DD u-joint that goes on the cab side.
450024 is the bogerson 24" telescopic shaft

No idea what to do for a Trac bar yet. And for the buckets, Ballistic Fabs design Part Number BRK-1049-11. They're geniuses. And fabbing my own shock towers as well. And almost forgot. the steering box is from a IFS toyota I blieve a 4Runner.

I didn't initially but I think I mentioned its in the plans now. I didn't even think about the bend, thanks for the heads up. But I also want to remount it with a little more angle cause of the body lift.

ehh...honestly just spray painted them. No prep work, no sanding, not worthy really. But I got them in terrible cosmetic condition, still 100% structurely opperatable. But once the important things are done, I may go back and do it right or get taller springs.

And the D44 did just appear lol. I didn't exactly record the details as many people would of prefered.
