Thanks Neo. But for hours if you cant driving around to get parts and the wait time on parts to come in about 20 hours staright working, and about 1400 in parts. Not to bad.

WOWWA! Not knocking you at all....and I am envious of your work, but what made you go through this much time and trouble? Why not just buy a 4x4?

HAhaha webster it was already 4x4. I just put a straight axle in it to get rid of the IFS 4x4 that comes stock.

HAHAHA its ok bud. An SAS is taking about factory independent 4x4 and putting a Solid axle in place of it.

Everything has its place, straight axles are preferred for slow speed off roading down trails or through mud. They are much more reliable/durable and you get a lot greater articulation/travel out of them. The main disadvantage is a loss of ride quality on the street, but who cares about that if you're doing an SAS anyway?

IFS is great for street performance and high speed desert and dirt track racing, anything where a soft ride at high speeds is needed. Especially when running large tires and high power parts tend to break and they aren't cheap to replace.

CUTiger....great description man, thanks for clearing it up for me =) I know some guys in SoCal that own there own shop and do this stuff, but I dont know anything about it obviously! LOL....I am too cheap to dump any money into my vehicles besides maintenance =)

yeah.. i cant either.. its a pretty big thing to forget... i mean thats the whole reason guys do them anyway right? not for better off roading capabilities... ppppssshhhh

Can't wait to see the truck finished, and really hope you do a parts list. IF I ever get the opportunity to do this it would be great to know what I need before I start. Obviously I'd need to add a few things in order to make mine 4wd but that's the "easy" part right? ha
