Default Falco's Truck Build on a Budget

Well, i've read everybody else builds and i have some free time so i guess i'll get around to make one of these. Now it's story time. haha.

I had a 99 Ranger. DSG. Stepside. Extended Cab. It was a beauty. this is about the best picture i have of it. It's a shame i didn't take more.

Well one night i was over at a buddies house and well as some of you may have heard this story before so i'm just gonna tell the short version. My truck got smashed by some drunk bitch. Yeah needless to say, it was totalled.

this is her car.

Well enough of that. After all the bull shit was done, i got a new truck after a lot of searching.
It was a 2001. It's 4x4, 4.0L, and about 48,000 or something like that. And we got it for just under 10 grand. it was a gem. i know.

Okay. So the first thing i did was take off the old bed rails and sold them to a guy on here. These are my replacements. Much nicer. I work at a dealership so everything i get it discounted so they were pretty cheap.

And after about a week of looking at my tailgate cap not lining up. i ordered the cap. haha.

Well after that my stock radio went out. So i got a pretty basic cd player. I like it. It's just a JVC basic cd player with AUX imput. and it was only like 100 bucks or so. It was pretty cheap.

Well, after this i found a cheap k&n drop in. No picture because, well, it's a drop in. Woopie.

My next mod was a Recon Light bar. I got it for like 60 bucks through work. Really easy to install. Has reverse and is directional. i love it. The pictures aren't the greatest.

the reverse really isn't blue. it's white. it just appears blue.

----------

After the light bar, i picked up some smoked corners from STL.

Then i ordered a Curt hitch from jcwhitney for like 150. i really haven't used it, i just wanted one i guess. for extra support if somebody hits me and to put hitch covers in. haha.

And my next mod was my Toolbox. It's a black low profile, UWS box. it's a beauty. it wasn't too hard to install.
when i first got it.

now.
i got way more pictures, that's just all i feel like posting. haha.

after the toolbox, i got some rubber floormats. they're stock for the newer rangers, and they fit well in my truck.

After that, i bought Bwad's 06 Tail lights. I love them. Thanks man. haha.

I then got an all red third brake light. It's not a big change, i just like the red one better.

Next step was 15% tint. It almost didn't happen. haha. i think it looks pretty good. I'm happy.

Then i talked to Jewler54 and STL and i got some blacked out headlights. it took some time, but we got them. i like them. i did the headlights, painted the honey comb, and put in a black emblem all in the same weekend. it was a long weekend.

I also had got a black emblem for the back emblem as well. Buggman does nice work. Very easy guy to deal with. I like them.

----------

I took a break from modding for a while just because i really couldn't decide what else to do. So my next mod was 06 fender badges.

And after the fender badges was the airhorn. It's great.

and these are the horns. 3 of them. mounted inbetween the radiator support and front valance

this is my mount. it's just a piece of metal bent. it works good.

this is the button of mass interuption. so sleek, but i love it.

this is the toggle switch for the compressor. it's awesome. i only turn it on when my tool box is open because i think when it runs and the lid is closed, it rubs.

my compressor. isn't she such a beauty? it's a 2 gallon tank that's controlled by that toggle switch.

another shot of the compressor.

and this is for a rainy day. i don't have it all hooked up quite yet but i have all the pipes, fittings and gauges, but i just haven't gotten around to hookin it up yet.

----------

I also forgot to add i got a maglight mount from Alon. It's a great product.

Thanks man. I live near findlay. It's probably a solid 3 hours north of Cinci. I'm about 45 minutes South of Toledo.

Thanks. You really don't realize how many things you do to your truck till you start really looking at it. And then you realize how much money you have wrapped up in all of this. I should figure it out. haha. i'm gonna be depressed i'm sure when i do.
