Well interesting night, drove 2.5 hours to my Mother's, for my sister's 16th birthday, and my headlights no longer work. Every other light works fine, but the low and high beams have quit, and the switch fell out of my dash, so I tore the dash apart at Mom's, still doesn't work, so I stole Mom's Escort to get home, since i have to work in the morning, I have a new dash piece since the switch has broken off the dash before, and I have a new switch in the dash. I will head back up Friday with Mom's 'Scort of fury and try and get it all back together. But we shall see. FML I am tired of fixing things lol That's what I get for putting 107,6xx miles on a truck in 4.5 years.

Poor Ranger! Hopefully you get it figured out. That seems like an odd problem.

Re: Richarddhoward and Norma (Pic Heavy)

Well a little update, sorry no pictures...

I just had the whole top end rebuilt for the tune of 3600 bucks, but DAMN she has power again, I blew the heads just as is common in 93-01 OHV 4.0 liter., well one head. I pushed the valve back up into the head, and well it had a bad misfire.

I have to get my brakes fixed now, and I need to get the spindle redone on the drivers side.

After all that jebus I may punch myself in the manpurse, and I am running this truck into the GROUND!!! Not that I didn't plan that already.

And I am seriously considering upgrading to a bigger truck or a commuter...but I have decided to wait a year. And because I know you all will ask, I'm looking at fullsize Chevy trucks again, just always liked them better, and old Volvo's, like 240 series, slam it on it's nuts, and cruise it.

Update time again.

Planning a trip to Moab, and back up to my old grounds in Montana. Looking at body lifts, and suspension now. As well as gears and wheels and tires. Better late than never.

Also planned:
Rear disc conversion
Fix the stereo so that it stays in the dash
New unlock button on the drivers side. Locks great, unlocks...when it wants too
Transmission full service
Test drive the hell out of it

Anything I didn't add? I have no idea, but I will get back to pictures and updating the story here. She's been a great truck, and this may be our last big adventure. But I think all well worth it. I need a newer truck, but I need to send her off in good fashion as best I can.
