Default 1984 Ford Ranger with F150 running gear...

Hey guys. Starting a project that one of my buddies has done before. Swapping the running gear off a F150 to my Ranger! Working on pulling everything off the F150 right now, and then I will have to find some place to start work on it, since it rains so damn much here in Oregon. According to my buddy Craig, I should be able to clear 33's no problem. I'll post some pics when I start working!

I fail to see how changing out your differential gears will give you greater tire clearance. Am I missing something?

Nice, someday I want to find an older Ranger and do the same thing. Post some progress pics when you get a chance.

Hmmm... Interesting theory you've got there. Now let me see if i understand this right. Your going to swap out the beams on your ranger for beams off an f150 correct? And I'm assuming your planing on just running a coil spring. So what makes you think that the radius arm hole on the f150 beam is going to line up where the spring needs to be??? Or are you going to move the beam mounts? Maybe i have this all wrong and your going to fun old f150 kingpin beams that are equal length and your just going to build new beam mounts? I think it would help a bit if you'd explain you plan in greater detail.

Nice, should have a nice stance.....Any plans for a bigger engine swap to turn the 33's better?
