hopefully over turkey day weekend i am rebuilding my trailer so i can get my boat over here.
these runners HAVE to come off! they are gay. they sit up too high and are not even straight! i need flat ones for the bottom and some on the sides.

new direction with boat:

I am pondering spraypainting the outside and halfway down on the inside with rattlecan spray in bedliner from Lowes. I realize the characteristics of aluminum. However, the boat is not bare metal but does have original paint on it. If i prep the boat by sanding and priming with rustoleum primer and them applying the bedliner material, do ya'll think it will hold up?

have you stumbled upon this website yet- TinBoats
I don't know much about bedliner so i can't answer the question. are you going for increased durability or just color and protectiveness?

seems like the consensus is it does look cool on jon boats, but it may increase drag, causing you to go slower. If you using a trolling motor, you probably don't need to worry about it. it helps protect the bottom of a boat that sees a lot of contact with rocks and such in shallow rivers and lakes. imo, it seems a little too expensive to do it. but hey, go for it, would be a rare boat out on a lake.

UPDATE:

I was talking to my boss and he told me to use this, you can jsut roll it on and it goes on nice and smooth! May have a guy spray it on for me though for free. 40 dollars a gallon:

CLICKY

I'm gonna get it in Marsh Green and paint my boat and trailer with it! its 39.99 for it at Cabelas, but if you look on can, its says "Parker Coatings Inc", so I went to their site and its 32.99 there!

UPDATE:

My future Brother-in-law has found a guy to weld that ugly weld puddle on the front of the boat for FREE! Im going home when i get off work to get all the water and ice out of it, then dry it real good, then grind the JB Weld Away on top of that leaking welded spot. I'll have that are prepped to night so be ready for welding tomorrow! man i can wait!

Going to get started on sanding the boat this week if possible to ready it for paint.

ok, got the spot grinded on and paint removed around it for welding today! There is also a lip on the front of the boat that was tore up so we cut that off and we're going to put a piece of aluminm angle there. We also removed two anchor tie downs because im going with new ones!

My buddy doing some grinding:

Removing tiedowns:

The spot in floor gining me so much trouble

It gets an aluminum plate welded to it today to strengen it as well as seat that area off.

then maybe i can start on some sanding and priming!

See'n as were post'n Jon Boat Pics.

Here's my 2001 Mossy Oak Shadow Grass 14' Crestliner ModV Fullweld Jon (had it shipped up here form Little Falls Minnesota USA). Has aluminum sub floor, live well, gun box, front storage compartment. EasyLoader Galvanized Tilt Trailer (Spare Tire and Mount, Boat Guides, Wheel Jack).

As pics show. The way I bought it with no rigging at all. I did all that myself. Rigged Engine 40HP Honda (power tilt), StingRay Hydrafoil, Controls, Switches, 12 Volt Accesories Outlet, Gauges (Tach, Trim), Driving Lights, Bilge Pump, Horn, Battery Tray and Case Mount, Gas Tank Hold Down (Gas Tank is now Krylon Black), Lure, Rod and Net holders , Plier/Grabber/utility Holders, Cleats (Olive Drab Green), Seats and four seat mounts (Olive Drab Green/ two mounts shown), Ladder, Cup and Ammo Holders (Front & Rear), Garmin Fish Finder, Garmin GPS (not shown), Dog Ramp (not shown), Avery Duck Blind (with Custom Gun Holders) and Avery Engine cover (not shown), Minn Kota Trolling Motor with quick disonnect (not shown), Minn Kota Drift Sock (not shown), Scotty Down Rigger (not shown).

May have missed something but that's the majority lololol.

Love it so much! Maybe I'll even have a Viking Funeral in it. Set her ablaze and launch her out with my corps in it lolol.

Hope you enjoy the pics! Hope it gives ya jon boat owners (Scott) some ideas.

My Brother Inlaw has one just like yours Scott Great little Duck and Fishin Boats. She's lookin good Bud!

Cheers
