doooooood this is so tempting too. a cash offer on my brother's would be a sweet start. cleanest 2nd gen ive ever seen. but its his first car, and its awesome, and i want it to be his as long as he feels the need.
sean thats been a thought too, but i cant afford a 12K ranger. if i had that cash, im buying a quad cab tundra and daily-ing it.

You should do what will make you happiest in the long run. No use hanging on to a truck that you're on and off about.

Re: Morgan's 2004 ranger
it was fun in high school, but im a way different person now and throwing money at this thing to make it what i "want" is just a waste. a fun waste, but a waste.
i'll continue to stack parts anyway...

I'm the same way. Off-roading was fun for a little while, but now I find myself wanting to make the truck more user friendly on the street. And that just isn't going to happen with a lifted Ranger. I've considered putting it back down a few times, but it just looks too awesome for that.
So now I'm looking at S14 240SX's for a daily and then using the Ranger for those occasional "I want to feel like a redneck" nights.

Re: Morgan's 2004 ranger
finding a clean 240 is like finding a virgin in college. difficult. but yes i fucking love those cars. S14 kouki front end... ooooh that'd be sweet. buuut my driving style wont allow for that, always driven trucks, lifted heeps, and my ranger. meaning i cannot "learn" to be scared of a curb or speedbump

I know. But I'm fine with something that needs a little lovin'. The biggest thing I'm worried about is just finding a solid runner.
As for bumps, I have torsion bars and bastard packs. Every speed bump and curb throws my stomach into my lungs. lol. I'm all for a car that absorbs them, even if I have to crawl over them. I won't be dropping the car low enough to scrape the ground, but just enough to get rid of the 4x4 stance.

I wish I had coils. Life with Rangers would be so much easier.

LOL! Long travel Edge. And I already did the manual swap for you.
If you weren't on the other side of the US, I'd seriously consider it. I love where your truck has gone.

Re: Morgan's 2004 ranger
Just low ball people haha I bought this for 10k which with parts it had and miles and brand new trans it was worth it. I low balled Cameron and got a caged truck but still bit me in the ass. If I was going to re do it I would build a crew cab F150 but I can't afford that so I went with the ranger haha. I'll sell you mine for 10k so I can buy my friends truck haha

Re: Morgan's 2004 ranger
Put truck up for sale eventually someone will bite. Then if possible take out a couple grand loan. Sell parts to pay it off and build credit. Boom sick built truck that you can drive and not care about upgrading it anytime soon. Easier said then done but it works if done correctly
